Temple of Golden Buddha


Also known as Wat Traimit, the temple of golden Buddha is positioned at the junction of Traimit, Yaowarat and Charoen Krung Roads in Bangkok. This temple houses the world’s greatest golden seated Buddha; measuring 3.98 meters in height and 3.13 meters in width. This significant statue weighs five and a half tons and is considered as one of Thailand’s most priced possessions. Marble Temple


Locally known as Wat Benchamabophit Dusitvanaram, this Buddhist temple is considered to be one of Bangkok’s most beautiful temples and major attractions. The temple's name literally means the Temple of the fifth King located nearby Dusit Palace. The construction of this European neo-classical inspitred temple commenced in 1899 at the request of King Chulalongkorn. The temple was built in white Carara Italian marble with 52 images of Buddha cloistered around its assembly hall.
