Blessed with breathtaking sights and colorful culture, Bali is undeniably an ideal place for pleasure and leisure. If you are planning to travel to this pretty province in Indonesia, here are some of the best places to visit.

Elephant Cave

Known locally as Goa Gajah, this 11th century cave is considered to be one of Bali’s most historically significant sites. The primary figure at the fa├žade of the cave was thought to be an elephant, hence the name.  Carved rock images of various menacing creatures and demons can also be seen at the cave entrance. Inside this classical Hindu-Buddhist styled temple are two traditional bathing pools decorated with life-size stone carved maidens bearing jugs of sprouting water. There are also several crevices inside the cave that are thought to have been secret meditation chambers for priests. The cave follows a T-form shape with a statue of Ganesha, a Hindu God of knowledge and wisdom. Truly, this ancient site makes any visit an enjoyable one.

Tampak Siring

Located 39 km east of Denpasar town, Tampak siring or Tirta empul is a holy spring water temple positioned in a gorge surrounded by hills. Locals and tourists from different parts of the country flock to this holy water temple to enjoy and sanctify themselves.
