How to make a successful online booking

February 27, 2013 Mango Tours 0 Comments

Do you love to travel but hates going across the mile to arrange your trip? Why not explore and exploit the benefits of the internet? Find the convenience of booking your travels online and avoid stressful moments; just don’t forget to keep these reminders in mind for a successful online booking.

SEARCH AND COMPARE

Take the liberty of checking different sites for your air travel and/or hotel booking. Most travel websites like mangotours.com have online reservation and booking system that allows you to book and purchase your travel ahead of time. Not only that, some of these sites has managed to display options based on your fare and airline/hotel preference. Feel free to search and compare.

FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

While some sites require you to create an account, others allow you to book your travel instantly with ease and comfort. Different websites have different booking protocol; choose the one that you’re comfortable with. In booking your travel, make sure to read, follow the instructions and supply the necessary fields with correct information.  Do not also forget to double check everything before hitting the next/continue button.

REMEMBER VITAL INFORMATION OF THE TRIP

Make sure to have all the important information at hand. Having all these ready helps you fill-out the online forms quickly thereby avoiding run time errors and lags. This also helps you to narrow down the search results just in case you are looking for a specific travel detail.

READ THE FINE PRINTS

More often than not, people take the fine prints for granted. It is very important to read and understand the fine prints or small texts as they usually contain important information such as the conditions and restrictions of the booking /trip. Be aware of hotel’s policies on cancellations, extra person charges, late check-out, Airline’s baggage policy and the like.

BE PATIENT

Run time errors, lags and other delays are inevitable due to the huge number of people trying to utilize the booking system at the same time. Make sure you have a strong and steady internet connection beforehand and avoid double-clicking as this may cause more delay or worst double-billing. Should you suspects double-billing, do not hesitate to contact the company or your bank before retrying.

HAVE A CONFIRMATION MESSAGE HANDY

After you successfully accomplished all the booking steps, a confirmation message should appear on your screen and/or will be sent to the e-mail address you registered. Saving a copy of this document is crucial as it normally serves as your e-ticket or hotel voucher. Websites like mangotours.com has an application that retrieves your booking. Keep in mind the important details such as your reservation number to utilize this technology.

Filipino Food Pick: Sinigang

February 22, 2013 Mango Tours 0 Comments

The Philippine cuisine is rich in nature showcasing the fusion of sweet, salty, sour and spicy flavors. With the influence of Spanish, Chinese, and American cuisines, the Filipino dishes are known for its diversity in flavor and taste. Most of the dishes are simple in terms of cooking but each has its own identity and goodness in its taste. Whether you’re into fried meals, roasted meats, sautéed dishes, stews, or even the exotic ones, the Filipino cuisine has always something suitable to your taste buds.

Some of sinigang's main ingredients

In today’s Filipino food pick, we highlight one of the country’s favorite dishes known as sinigang. Sinigang is a Filipino stew known for its sour and savory flavor. Its main ingredients include meat (pork, fish, shrimp, etc), tamarind (or guava, calamansi, unripe mango), water, tomatoes, garlic, onions, okra, taro corms, daikon, water spinach (kangkong), yardlong beans (sitaw), and eggplant.  The cooking process consists mainly of cooking the meat in boiling water until it tenderized and then add all the other ingredients and flavorings until they are cooked.

Sinigang is a popular dish served throughout the Philippines. While some of the regions have their own version, its savory flavor and taste remain authentic and distinctive compared to that of other dishes. It is often served in local restaurants, fast food chains, and in small carinderias. The dish is considered healthy as it has various vegetables and spices included in its ingredients. It is definitely a treat for everyone!
