Okinoshima for World Heritage Site
The Japanese island of Okinoshima, a sacred male-only island, might be added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites this July. The island's laws are so traditional that women are banned from setting foot in this special place and men are required to be cleansed in the nude before entering.
The tiny Italian Village of Bormida is starting a program that pays people around 2,000 Euros (2,100 dollars) to move in the quiet countryside. This program was conceived due to the dwindling population of only a tiny 390. With rent ranging from around 50-130 dollars, the idyllic countryside destination is definitely a slow yet peaceful place to call home.
Soulful English singer Ed Sheeran will appear later this year on November 7th for a concert in the Philippine capital of Manila.
