Travel Review: Picasso Boutique Service Residences
Much like the works of art that it houses, the Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences is such a colorful building with a totally unique feel and style to it. On this week’s Travel Review, we give this artsy accommodation our own little critique.
All About the Art
As if the name didn’t give it away already, the Picasso is a very art-centric accommodation. From the embroidered pillows in the lobby to the number plates on the rooms itself, the entire place has an art piece no matter where you turn. From the abstract to the photo-realistic, there are just so many amazing pieces to hunt all over the place. Even places that have little to do with the hotel’s themes, like the gym, have hard-to miss pieces of art displayed for people to appreciate. I definitely found myself stopping every now and then to observe and appreciate the little lines and strokes that made the picture just so amazing as a whole.
Speaking of displays, Picasso has its very own proper art gallery as well. Every month, artists and their works are moved in and out of the show area. This month seemed to feature paper and mixed media as the medium used. It was definitely an interesting place to explore, art enthusiast or not.
A Stroke of Convenience
Artistic visuals and settings aside, the accommodation itself is a very cozy space to room in. From the air-conditioned surroundings to the spacious rooms available to guests, it’s definitely one of the most fun of places to stay in while within the roads and parks in the Makati area.
It has a restaurant you can dine in with delicious breakfast dishes, a relaxing lounge area on the top floors, wonderfully well-kept rooms along with comfortable beds and couches.
While it may be a bit on the small side, the Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences is so much more than its size would belie. Relaxing, convenient, always providing great service, this is definitely a must-book location while you visit Makati.
