Attraction Review: Arc de Triomphe

Arc de Triomphe
Standing at the center of the Place Charles de Gaulle (also known as the "Place de l'√Čtoile") is the Arc de Triomphe, the most monumental of all triumphal arches, built between 1806 and 1836.

It was built to honor those who sacrificed themselves for their country, especially for those during the Napoleonic Wars. Inside the structure, the names of the generals and wars fought are etched into the stone. There is also a Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I where a Memorial Flame burns, making the Arc de Triomphe in Paris a revered patriotic site.

Being a very artistic and well-known landmark, it’s become one of France’s most-visited attractions. If you ever visit, your European Experience Tour wouldn’t be complete without a visit and a memorable selfie to commemorate the moment.
