After spending an hour in the Mabuhay Lounge, I boarded my Philippine Airlines' flight going to Manila from San Francisco. As I entered the aircraft, three friendly flight attendants greeted me with a big smile on their faces.

Already waiting on my seat were a pillow, blanket, slippers, and amenity kit, which I found very comforting. As soon as I sat down, the flight attendant cordially called me by my last name and immediately offered my pre-departure drink, a hot towel, and menu for the flight. I thought it was a commendable approach to the airline's in-flight service because it was personalized and made me feel valued as a passenger.
Business Class Features and Amenities
Philippine Airlines’ 777 business class cabin has a total of 42 angle-flat seats that are spread across six rows in a 2-3-2 configuration.

I ended up ordering their pork adobo, a popular Filipino dish, which is often partnered with steamed rice and roasted vegetables.

The rest of the airline's on-board meals, such as its tasty appetizers and creamy desserts, were scrumptious as well as refreshing. Needless to say, I enjoyed all my meals on the flight.
A must-try: Philippine Airlines' signature Arroz Caldo, a delicious rice porridge, served perfectly well with a gourmet tuyo or small dried fish dipped in olive oil.

Bottom Line
Overall, my Philippine Airlines flight was indeed pleasant. The service was superb; my seat was comfortable, and the meals were exceptionally delicious. They say that once you fly business class, you’ll never be satisfied with economy again. I couldn't agree to that more as the flight was convenient and delightful.
Ultimately, the Philippines most trusted flag carrier undoubtedly has the best flight connection since it is the only airline that offers non-stop flights from San Francisco to Manila and vice versa, making the trip quicker without any intermediate stops or connections between airports. I never thought being on a 15-hour flight could be so enjoyable and worthwhile. I arrived at my destination feeling well-rested and satisfied.

Bonus
Ever wondered where pilots and flight attendants rest and sleep during long-haul flights? On a plane like the Boeing 777-er, they have a room with single beds just above the business class and economy class cabins where they can relax and get some shut-eye.
