South Korea visa-free entry for Pyeongchang 2018
This temporary visa-free entry to Pyeongchang, South Korea’s host city for the 2018 Winter Olympics, qualifies only three (3) southeast Asian countries - the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Tourists, who will come in groups, should enter the Yangyang International Airport in the northeastern portion of South Korea to be eligible for the visa-free entry. The Winter Olympics, which will be held from February 9 to 25, is a great opportunity that will help boost the growth of the Korean tourism economy.

Going green in blue Morocco
Chefchaouen, or Chaouen to locals, is a town in Morocco popular for its picture-worthy blue hues found almost all over the place. But this touristy town hopes to add a little green through its increasing eco-friendly practices and sustainable management. Being among the 12 southern Mediterranean destinations to be funded by the European Union’s programme, Chefchaouen has been recognized as a “model and initiator of change in sustainable energy management.” From newly inaugurated municipal swimming pool designed with solar energy and an ecology center to simple and small things like environmentally-friendly light bulbs and electric bicycles. Mayor Mohamed Sefiani points out that the town is not an ecologically sustainable place yet, but with many green-centric plans being drawn up, it won’t be long before it fully transforms into one.
