The history of India can be traced through the discovery of the Indus river. It wasn’t until the arrival in 1498 of Portuguese explorer Vasco de Gama that the country was exposed to European countries. This led to its colonization by Great Britain, affecting both countries cultures and introducing more diversity between them.
