Featured Place of the Week: Banaue, Ifugao

Only a bus ride away from the city of Manila, banaue is a refreshing contrast of nature compared to the aformentioned city. Known for their iconic rice terraces, it's also the home of the Ifugao tribe who built that marvel of human innovation and also dabble in wooden crafts like the sacred figures carved from local materials.

Climate: As with most of the islands in the Philippines, the Banaue area is known to have a tropical climate. Aside from the overall warm nature of the place, there are periodical rainy and dry seasons as well. Rainfall becomes more frequent around the month of August while dry days begin close to the month of May. In January, the climate grows as cold as 19.4 °C.
